Newsletter Issue 8 - December 2010

It‘s the time of year when the Malta Red Cross—Malta Branch is busy with a hundred and one things. In addition to the numerous posts the volunteers give their service in, training exercises are held to keep the volunteers up to scratch about first response, ambulance transportation and first aid skills.

A good number of volunteers have also taken up an instructor‘s course, thus boosting the training capacity of the branch. Nowadays, many people have come to appreciate the benefits of learning basic first aid skills. If more people continue to take up First Aid courses, this would mean more people knowing how to act in an unexpected emergency.

Drinking and driving is a killer, and so is using the phone whilst driving. Let‘s make our roads safer.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone asafe festive season.
