Being a Red Cross volunteer pretty much sums this phrase up. As Malta Red Cross Volunteers we are consistently trained to give First Aid assistance in several situations that one may encounter in his daily life - some of which can truly save a life.  Apart from being certified by the Malta Red Cross as a Basic First Aider, we also have weekly training sessions at our Operations centre in Pembroke so as to keep our skills up to date, and feel confident whilst on First Aid Posts. We also participate in National Training Activities such as different disaster simulations in conjunction with the Civil Protection Department and the National Health Authorities.
